Nurse Practitioner Are they here to stay
The Nurse Practitioner is in demand to fill the roles of the Family Physician or the Primary Care Physician. In today’s world of spiraling health care costs the Family Practice Physician is almost obsolete.
There are many reasons for this mainly it is how the income of the Family Physician or the Primary Care Physician has decreased instead of increased over the years.
This is because of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). This law was signed by President Barrack Obama On March 23, 2010.
This is a highly controversial law and has caused confusion in the medical field. The (PPACA) was mainly designed for people who were low income and uninsured.
There are approximately 916 million patients combined who have received care from the licensed Nurse Practitioner’s. The patient’s they treat are genuinely satisfied with the care they receive. The Nurse Practitioner can help reduce the cost of medical care in the physician’s office.
With the decrease in the Family Practice Physicians or Primary Care Physicians income there are fewer medical students who wish to go into Family Practice. The medical students want to specialize become Cardiologists, Orthopedic, neurosurgeons, etc.
The Family Physician is actually on the brink of distinction. This is where the Nurse Practitioner comes in. The Nurse Practitioner can diagnose and treat health problems with the emphasis on preventative health measures.
In order to become a Nurse Practitioner you must be a Registered Nurse first with a master’s degree. A Nurse Practitioner education is rigorous with national certification. They not only treat patients but also are involved in research.
Not only are Nurse Practitioners in demand in Family Practice Medical Offices but in Out Patient Surgery Centers. Within the next the next ten years Nurse Practitioners will be more in demand than ever before.
The amount of people needing Family Practice Physicians will double and triple since people are now living longer lives and will start needing continuous medical treatment
Nurse Practitioner’s are here to stay and they are needed.

Sleep Apnea
My daughter, Wendy, uses and dental appliance instead of a CPAP Machine and the picture of the dental device is on my book cover.
I wrote an e-book in 2008 and I sold a few books but lately
this book is hot and taking off.
I felt now was the time to open it up and bring
it up to date.
The technology has been taking off left and right and my book
had been left in the dust.
I started researching Sleep Apnea and the CPAP
Machine and found alternative ways to not need a CPAP Machine.
There are now surgeries being performed all over the United
States to free us poor chained people away from the CPAP Machine and to be able
to sleep a normal night’s sleep. This book will be available in paperback in a few days. Both the E-book and Paper Back book have several pictures.
In order to find out about this surgery go to www.youtube.com and put in the word Sleep Apnea
and CPAP Machine. The videos are educational and will give your hope that you
can lose the CPAP Machine.
Thank you for reading my article.

Book Title How Important Is It
If you are a writer and you
take the next step to publish your book as an e-book which is where all the
sales are today, what do you need to know when you choose a title for your
book?
. What
is your book about?
What
makes it different from other books in the same category?
A short catchy name is the best.
The title is even more important than the
color or layout of the cover.
I just went to a book signing where there
were several authors with their printed books.
The covers were colorful and
very inviting. What I was amazed at was the title of the books.
I had to ask many of the authors what
their book was about.
When I asked I received and explanation, the explanation
I received was what should have been the title?
Under the title or
somewhere on the back cover or somewhere it is easily accessible by the
customer to know what it is about and not have to ask the author.
I teach a class in e book formatting. The one thing I bring out to my students is
the importance of the title.
If a title is chosen that is so broad how is the
impending reader supposed to know what the book is about.
Books especially, e-books are searched by search words.
Thank you for reading my article. I would
love to hear from you so please leave a blurp. Please feel free to read my
other numerous articles on various topics and also my many e books and printed
books on www.amazon.com,

Sleep Apnea
I have had Sleep Apnea for
several years.
I have had several sleep studies. This is why I wrote this book several years ago.
I sleep with a full-face mask.
That is my picture on the cover of this book.
I do not like sleeping with a
CPAP Mask.
Recently I have had an irregular heart rate at times. When I told my doctor she asked me?
"Do you use your CPAP Machine?"
I started using my machine more often and the irregular heart rate is less.
It is uncomfortable and it interferes at times with my sleep but I would rather be uncomfortable at
times than sleep without my CPAP Mask.
This book will give you a step
by step program from the time you have symptoms, to your doctor, sleep study
and ending with the CPAP Machine.

Why Doctor's Run Behind Schedule
(1) The receptionist over scheduled appointments.
(2) The doctor became involved in a long telephone call with
another doctor or patient.
(3) The patient the doctor was seeing had a more complex
issue and required more time.
(4) The doctor had an emergency case that needed to be
squeezed in before the scheduled patient.
(5) The doctor got held up at the hospital for various
reasons.
This is just a short list there are many more.
The patient’s role in keeping the office running on schedule
is very important.

Having an MRI
A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is high quality images on the inside of your body. This is achieved by using a high magnetic field and
radio waves. This test will determine your diagnosis. A report will be dictated
by the radiologist and sent to your ordering physician.
WHAT IS IT USED FOR?
An MRI is used by your medical physician to receive a
comprehensive medical report dictated by the Radiologist. In this way, your
physician can make an accurate medical diagnosis.
DOES IT HURT?
No this does will not hurt you. It is a non-invasive test.
The only thing it will do is annoy you with the loud noise it makes through out
the test.
QUESTIONS YOU ARE ASKED BEFORE YOU RECEIVE AN MRI:
(a) Do you have any tattoos on your body?
(b) Do you have any metal in your body?
(c) How much do you weigh?
(2) METAL FREE:
(a) Put credit
cards or any card with a magnetic strip in a locker.
(b) No metal on clothing on or in body. No jewelry.
((3) THE MRI:
When you are actually ready to have the MRI you will be
asked to lie down in a long cylinder. Depending on the part of the body to be
scanned - you might or might not have your head inside the cylinder.
(4) CLOSED AND OPEN MRI MACHINES:
There are some open MRI machines and these are especially
useful for people who are claustrophobic.
(5) NOISES:
When you are placed in a MRI machine you will hear a
variety of noises. I always relate these noises to men breaking up cement with
those very noisy drills. These noises although very annoying to you, are very
necessary for achieving a reading on the MRI scan.
(6) LYING IN THE MACHINE:
You can not move. If you move you will ruin the image or
picture the technician is taking and it will have to be repeated.
(7) HOW TO STAY CALM AND QUIET IN THE MRI MACHINE:
a) Keep your eyes tightly closed and never open them while
you are inside the canister.
(b) Use earphones with your favorite radio station in your
ears. Sometimes, this is not possible, you only get ear plugs which are
useless.
(8) CLAUSTROPHOBIC:
If you are really claustrophobic you need to inform your
ordering doctor about this fact. A sedative will be arranged for you to take
before you reach the MRI Center. Always bring someone with you to drive and
make sure you get home safely if you have taken a drug.
(9) EATING:
Most of the time you may be able to eat before and MRI but
there are times when you will not be allowed. You will be instructed if you
need to be NPO at the time of your MRI.
(10) CONTRAST AGENT, DYE:
The dye which is used is called gadolinium. It has less of
a reaction than any other dye used for other testing. It is used to receive a
clearer image of the area which is being scanned.

Bored At Home
Winter is here and for those of us who don’t get out of the
house as much as we can during the summer are stuck. There are many things you
can do to make time pass faster and give your brain a kick start. Television gets boring fast. Movies are good and stimulating.
Puzzles:
There are many kinds of puzzles available on the market
today. These puzzles start at age 2 and then, of course for adults go from 200
pieces to a 1000+ pieces.
If you have never worked a
puzzle start out with the 200 large interlocking pieces. When you have mastered
this size, go on to 400 or 500 pieces to 1000 or larger. Just think how your
self-esteem will soar when you have accomplished putting larger and larger
puzzles together.
Reading:
Reading a good book or
magazine is always a great way to while away the hours. It also is brain food
and you are being educated on something. Every book or magazine you read will
teach you something you didn’t know.
You can really get lost on the
Internet reading articles and books. Now with E books being so available you
don’t even have to leave your home to purchase a book.
Cooking and Baking:
Now is the time to experiment
with your cooking and baking skills. Either be creative and try making
something from scratch without a recipe or use a cookbook or the Internet. This
is something the whole family will definitely encourage you to do. Good food.
Good eats.
Sewing:
If you like to sew start
sewing. Make a new outfit for yourself. Slipcovers for you living room furniture.
Make doll clothes for your children’s dolls or finish some sewing project you
once started and put off until you had the time.
Painting:
Are you a painter? Do you like
to paint on canvas? Or maybe now is the time to paint the walls inside your
home. There are fabulous colors and combinations to choose from, it will be a
hard decision as to what color to choose.
When winter comes along or you
are home bound for other reasons, smile, and say, “It will be my special
creative time to expand my mind.” There are many more ways to improve your mind
and skills. What are your suggestions?
Thank you for reading my
article. Please feel free to read my other articles on various subjects.
