Midnight (A Kitten) Poem

A little black kitten
Named Midnight came
Through my life one night

She was small and cuddly
A bundle of short black hair
and energy of hope and delight

She zoomed from room to room
Batting her toys around the room
with her small paws she used
As a broom

When she was hungry she scratched my hand
When she was thirsty she scratched my hand
When she wanted to cuddle she lay
On my stomach and purred.

But alas, I had to give her up
My allergies had flared up
It is a shame
I came to love that little
Ball of black short hair
Named Midnight that came into my life one night.
